As soon as the baton was passed to the UK, to host our first ever COP, we began work with our partners and Glasgow City Council to ensure that COP26 would provide benefits to the people of Glasgow, and leave a positive legacy.

Now, as we leave the event itself behind, we are working to deliver on that mission. Do revisit this page to share in our progress.

The IKEA furniture used at COP26

Throughout the planning, delivery and physical dismantling of COP26, our constant ambition has been to ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’.

As part of our extensive sustainability objectives, the fantastic IKEA furniture and accessories used during the conference are now being rehomed to projects and organisations in Glasgow and the wider region.

We received a huge number of applications from a wide range of organisations and groups doing incredible work.

As a result, applications to receive a donation have now closed. We will provide an update on where the furniture has gone and how it is benefiting communities in Glasgow and beyond, so do check back on this page and don’t forget to follow us on our social channels.

With thanks to our principal partners
